"In February, we headed to LA to do some work on the album, which was absolutely crazy. It’s a different world out there though at one point I was worried I wasn’t even going to get into the country. All other guys went through passport control fine, then a woman stopped me, called over our tour manager Paul and said: “There’s a problem with him. He needs to go back.” They took me into a room and I thought they were going to keep me there for hours, but thankfully the women who came to talk to me knew who Simon Cowell was and knew I was a band. In the end i was interviewed for an hour about what I was doing there and why I was visiting America. It turned out that my name was flagged up as similar to that of someone they were looking for, so they were just being cautious. I got stopped at customs as well, but again I got through okay as the guy there was really nice."

Is going quite well! I’m having a ton of fun but I miss my beloved Denny’s. We are currently in Greece and it’s so beautiful. Camping is not so bad. We do get air mattresses after all. But I’m really missing my bed. The tent also feels smaller and smaller everyday for some reason. Ugh. But we are making the most of it. We are 20 days in and have 27 to go! Hard to believe we’ve been here with these amazing people for so long and this has been normal life for three weeks. We have had some rough patches here r there, but honestly I’m having so much fun. If you want more day to day updates, go over to my travel blog because that’s all I really post on. eurotrip2014adventures woop

I realise this is shittiest thing to post on your Independence Day but now you can see why I would fail in an American school
This has seven hundred notes and it’s basically out of my control now but omg this is the Canadian grading scale
THIS is the American grading scale. As you can see, it is completely and utterly designed to make students feel like they are failures. If you think you’d do terribly in Canada, just try and deal with the grades in America. Personally, I’d be thrilled with the Canadian grading system.
Oh god I read that and I was like wait a hot second that’s not nearly fucked up enough to be our grading system
Except in our high school it was like 92-100 is A and so on and so forth
Yeah lol in our wonderfully competitive American school everything was shifted so 69 and lower was a fail.
